What started as something to do on the side for fun has now turned into a thriving business for Linton native, Christine Riggleman.

Greene County CEO students recently sat down with Christine, who currently works a full-time job. In 2017, she started Dogwood and Spruce. It's a small business she runs out of her house in which she creates everything from personalized gift baskets to embellished vases, custom shirts, and more! It was about a year ago when Christine set out to expand her offerings, branching into event planning. She now owns and operates Dogwood Events and has developed a whole inventory of decorations for events like weddings, graduation parties, baby showers, and much more. Christine talked to students about how she's built her inventory, branded her business, and how she books clients both within and outside of Greene County. She says her biggest challenge has been time management, juggling her full-time job and family life with her side business. Christine says, "If someone doubts you and your business, just be sure you love what you do. Love your product or the service you offer. Believe in yourself. If you love it and believe in it, others will too."

Christine currently serves as a Greene County CEO Board Member. We thank her for giving her time to this great program and we appreciate her sharing her business with us!
