One of the most powerful parts of CEO starts when the community steps into the classroom.
Today was our first Mentor Day for the Class of 2027. From October through the end of the course, the first Wednesday of each month will bring our students together with an incredible group of local professionals who have volunteered to walk alongside them through their Class Business, their personal businesses, and hopefully well beyond their time in CEO.
Today was intentionally a little chaotic. Students were on their feet nearly the entire class, introducing themselves, having conversations, and meeting as many of our mentors as possible. Over the next month, we’ll use those interactions, student requests, and DISC assessments to intentionally pair mentors and students for maximum impact.
This is one of my favorite parts of the CEO program. Our students get access to people with years of experience who are willing to invest their time, knowledge, and relationships into them. At the same time, they begin building a professional network while they are still in high school, learning how to have conversations, develop relationships, and set themselves apart long before they enter the workforce.
This is where relationships start, but our hope is that many of them last far beyond this class.
A huge thank you to our mentors for showing up and choosing to invest in the Class of 2027!
