We had the pleasure of having Paul Schaefer come and speak to our group. He spoke about his life experiences. He talked about his role at MTI and his career advancement there. Paul also talked about how he is now back in the area and wanting to give back to his community and provide services through his business.
Paul stressed that it’s hard to find a work life balance at any age. But, when you love what you do, you don’t mind the extra hours you put in.
One of the things that stood out the most to the CEO members was the importance Paul placed on math in the real world - not just in a classroom. Those concepts he learned in math class began to make sense when figuring angles and measurements in his field of welding.
Paul also mentioned the strong impact that mentors can have along the way. Finding the right people to help you learn and grow makes such a difference.
We thank Paul for his visit and insight
