💰 Financial Literacy in Action!

Today, our Cass County CEO members joined the Brown Schuyler CEO group to hear from Rich Eckert, President of Beardstown Savings and Board Chair of Cass County CEO.

Rich presented the first of six financial literacy lessons he’ll be sharing with the group this year. Today’s session provided a broad overview of banking, including the different types of banks and how they differ, how money deposited in banks is insured, and other banking basics that are important for our members to understand as they prepare for their futures.

As always, the conversation went beyond dollars and cents. Rich also shared a few important life lessons, reminding our members about the importance of making a good first impression and why we should never judge a book by its cover.

We appreciate Rich sharing his time, knowledge, and experience with both CEO groups, and we look forward to the next five financial literacy lessons throughout the year!
