This week our CEO class had the privilege of hearing from Cherrish McCoy with Banterra Bank about one of the most important parts of any business plan — the financials.

She shared how understanding your numbers can make or break your business idea. From start-up costs and revenue projections to ongoing expenses and profit planning. One of her key reminders: “If you can’t explain the numbers, no one can.”

Students took notes on how to create realistic financial projections, identify their break-even point, and prepare for future growth. Cherrish also emphasized keeping things simple, being honest with your numbers, and planning ahead for change.
