Guest Speaker (1/23/26): Larry Mizell

On Friday, our class had the pleasure of welcoming Larry Mizel as a guest speaker. Larry, who has long been involved in numerous community organizations, shared his experience with Johnson County 2000, where he served as Chairman of the Board for 25 years and continues to serve as a member today.

Larry walked students through the organization’s beginnings, highlighted completed and ongoing projects, and shared its vision for the future. Most importantly, he emphasized the value of investing in your community through volunteerism and active involvement. His message reinforced that strong communities are built when individuals step up to support efforts that strengthen local business and enhance quality of life for residents.
