CEO met at McDonald's with Millan Petro Organization owner Mikel Petro to discuss the franchise business model. With 15 area restaurants, over 800 employees, and 28 years of experience, Mikel had a lot wisdom to pass on to our entrepreneurs.

We spent part of our morning discussing how a franchise is structured, but the bulk of our time was spent talking about the best strategies for managing people. Mikel said "I am most proud of the team I've built over the years." He brought manager Ariel Campbell in on the conversation and the two of them shared their best advice for success in leading a team:

-Work hard, treat people right, do the right thing.
-The lowest expectation for yourself is the highest you can expect from others.
-Managers exist to provide encouragement, support, accountability, discipline, and motivation.
- It's okay to be the good guy. :)
