Wednesday morning we were able to tour the YMCA of Austin, MN with Diane Baker, Executive Director, and Braydon Shew, Aquatics Director. This is also our current home base for CEO and we greatly appreciate their commitment to the CEO Program!

Students asked a variety of questions that allowed them to understanding the inner workings of the YMCA and how their daily operations work. They also enjoyed a tour of the facility!

It was a great morning with many strong takeaways!

- They strive to make the Y welcoming and accessible.
- It is expensive to run but they work hard to keep rates that accessible while keeping the Y running properly.
- They constantly consider communication and how do to reach people.
- You never know when a connection will change your life, so keep those connections.
- If you’re comfortable, become uncomfortable. This is where so much growth can take place.
