There are so many things I love about CEO. The business tours and guest speakers usually get the spotlight—and honestly, they deserve it. They’re incredible opportunities for our students.

As the facilitator, one of my favorite parts is something that doesn’t always get noticed. It’s watching students from four different schools start the year as complete strangers and, before long, become a family. Somewhere between those early mornings, long days, and shared experiences, real friendships start to form. They show up for each other—not because they have to, but because they want to.

Our students are busy. They’re involved in everything—FBLA, NHS, golf, volleyball, football, flag football, hockey, soccer, basketball, baseball, kickboxing, horse training, church activities, jobs—you name it. And somehow, they still make time to support each other.

Today was one of those moments that just made me smile. These two pictures were taken about 13 hours apart—from the start of their school day at 6:49 a.m. to the end at 7:48 p.m. They might have been opponents on the field tonight, but in CEO, they’re brothers.

So proud of ALL our students and what they represent. But tonight I’m giving a special shoutout to Collin (Lebanon HS) and DJ (Freeburg HS)—you represented us so well tonight. And thank you, Sophie (Freeburg HS), for showing up to cheer them on.

This is what CEO is all about. 💙💜
