Behind the Scenes at Silver Creek Area CEO

You’ve seen the photos — class visits, guest speakers, and business tours — and you might be wondering: Is CEO just a week of field trips over and over again?

We promise, it’s so much more than that.

Over the past several weeks, our students have been quietly working on something big — their Class Business. We’ve kept the details under wraps until now.

So what exactly is Class Business?
It’s a student-created, student-run venture designed to generate seed money for each participant’s individual business later this year. From concept to completion, our 20 students are leading every step of the process.

They began with brainstorming sessions to completing their business model canvas and SWOT analyses, pitched their ideas to classmates and our board of directors, and have now divided into five focused teams:

• Marketing Team: Identifies target audiences, develops messaging, designs fliers, and creates promotional content.
• Finance Team: Manages all revenue streams, budgets, expenditures, and financial documentation.
• Operations Team: Handles venue logistics, rental contracts, insurance requirements and all operations throughout our event.
• Recording Team: Documents every discussion and decision to keep the class informed and organized.
• Culture Team: Ensures a positive mindset, strong communication, and team cohesion throughout the process.

This isn’t a simulation. It’s real-world entrepreneurship in action. Every decision, challenge, and success is building their confidence and experience as future business leaders.

So far this year, our class has already experienced 34 business visits and guest speakers, soaking up knowledge and adding valuable insights to their journey.
