This morning had a different kind of energy in our classroom. Students were dialing in the final details of their trade show booths—but for two students, there was a little extra anticipation in the air.

After winning our local 30-second pitch competition, London Glen (The Mastery of Wealth) and Scott Stoelzle (STIKS Hockey Repurposed) advanced to the CEO National Pitch Competition, submitting their videos alongside 90 entries from across the country. With 75 CEO programs nationwide, the level of competition was incredibly strong.

Today, winners were announced live via Zoom at 8:00 a.m. As the top pitches in the nation were recognized—with cash awards, judges’ choice honors, and Midland Institute for Entrepreneurship choice selections—our classroom at Wisper Internet sat watching and waiting.

And then it happened.

Cheers erupted as Scott Stoelzle appeared on the screen as a Midland’s Choice award recipient—one of only about 10 students in the entire country to be recognized.

We are so proud of both London and Scott for representing the Silver Creek Area CEO program with professionalism, creativity, and confidence on a national stage.
