As graduation season is in motion, I’ll be taking some time over the next few weeks to highlight each of our Silver Creek Area CEO graduates individually and celebrate the impact this program has had on their lives. We will begin with our students from Freeburg High School.

One of the greatest parts of this program is watching students discover confidence in themselves that they may not have even realized was there all along.

Today we are celebrating Silver Creek Area CEO graduate, Sophia Krebel of Freeburg High School. Sophia will be attending Indiana State University to study Interior Architecture.

When reflecting on her year in CEO, Sophia shared:

“I definitely got more confident in myself and my skills by improving in public speaking. All of the pitches and presentations we have done have made me more comfortable with speaking in front of others and talking to them about something I am passionate about—like my business. I also got better at time management and arriving to places on time while also valuing my time in other areas of my life. I have definitely gotten more organized by using my planner this year to write where we are going each morning to prepare for that. Finally, I’ve improved on active listening from each speaker we have heard and trying to take notes on them.”

Sophia’s growth this year has been incredible to watch, and I know she has an exciting future ahead of her. Congratulations, Sophia. We are so proud of you and cannot wait to see all you accomplish next.
