Business Visit Spotlight: Sycamore Acres ✨
Spoon River CEO students had an incredible business visit to Sycamore Acres in Lewistown on Thursday, where owner Erin Ahart welcomed us with open arms—and even treated everyone to a drink from the new Pop Shop (their dirty soda shop on site🥤)!
From a behind-the-scenes look at Wacky Golf (their indoor mini golf course), the Paint Studio, Party Room, Splatter Paint Room, Dance Studio, Apartment Wing, and SO much more, it quickly became clear that the opportunities here are truly endless.
We may have only been there for 90 minutes, but we easily could’ve spent hours exploring and learning. Erin shared her personal journey, her path to Lewistown, and the mission behind Sycamore Acres—and it was impossible not to notice the heart she pours into her work and into a community she wasn’t even raised in. That’s something we can all learn from! Her positivity and passion are truly contagious.
We are also incredibly grateful that Erin is one of our selected CEO mentors, meeting monthly with one of our students during Mentor Mondays, held the first Monday of each month. We are truly in awe of Erin’s work ethic—between all she has built and all she gives back, we’re convinced she must never sleep!
Thank you, Erin, not only for sharing your time and wisdom with our students, but for everything you do for our community and for inspiring the next generation of young entrepreneurial minds. 🧠✨
