ππ We had an incredible opportunity to visit Caterpillar in Decatur, Illinois, where massive mining trucks and equipment are built and sent all over the world. Itβs amazing to realize that these machines β manufactured right here in Decatur β play a critical role in global industries. All eight mining trucks are manufactured right here in Decatur, Illinois.
One of the most fascinating things we learned is that nearly everything that is mined from the earth has likely been touched by a piece of Caterpillar equipment at some point in the process. The scale, precision, and engineering behind these machines is truly impressive.
A huge thank you to Andy for presenting to our group before the tour and helping set the stage for what we were about to see. We also appreciate Jon for the outstanding tour and for sharing his knowledge about Caterpillarβs operations and global impact.
